Meet Ms. Olson!
Ms. Olson is excited to be joining the Adams Elementary counseling team for her second year here! Before becoming a school counselor, she spent more than 10 years as an elementary teacher, where she discovered just how much she loves helping kids learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves. She received her Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO).

When asked what message she would like to send out to all the Archers Ms. Olson says "I am so excited to be part of the Adams family! My goal is to make sure every Archer knows they are valued, supported, and have someone they can turn to when they need a little extra help. I am looking forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and lots of great memories!"

Ms. Olson believes that every student should have a trusted adult at school who they can talk to—whether they are having a rough day, dealing with a friendship problem, feeling worried or frustrated, or simply need someone to listen. "Sometimes you need advice, sometimes you need a solution, and sometimes you just need someone to listen. I'm here for all of it!"

When she's not at school, Ms. Olson is usually busy being a mom to her son. She loves traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys being active in the community and finding ways to give back.

Ms. Olson is looking forward to getting to know all of the students and families at Adams and making this school year a great one. Her door is always open, and she's always happy to see everyone!
